Playing 21 years in the Big League, Eddie Murray spent most of his field time as a first baseman and designated hitter for Baltimore.

Playing more games at first base than any other player in the major leagues, Eddie was given the nickname "Steady Eddie." He was a consistent and reliable hitter that brought much success to Baltimore baseball. During his time playing ball, Eddie averaged 24 home runs and 91 runs-batted-ins, and he ranks fourth in Baltimore's team history in both games played and hits. He retired in 1997 and became a member of the Hall of Fame in 2003.
