#35 LEWIS BLOCK ART

#35 LEWIS BLOCK ART

14.00

Following Reggie Lewis' earlier displays of super talent, first in Baltimore at Dunbar High and then during college in Boston, he was selected 22nd overall pick in the 1987 draft by Boston.

Scoring career-highs during his fifth and sixth seasons with Boston, Reggie Lewis proved to be an exciting and promising forward. His only All-Star appearance came during the 1991-92 season, which sadly was his second-to-last season with Boston.

On July 27, 1993 Lewis collapsed during practise and went into cardiac arrest. After his death, his #35 jersey was retired by Boston, making him one of only two Boston players to have a retired number without winning a championship.
